What to expect

My role is to create a respectful and meaningful ceremony script and deliver it on the day of the service. 

I will do that by meeting with you and any other family or friends you want to include in the process, and talking through your requirements. 

I have written and delivered many such services, each service i conduct is treated with dedication, compassion and individuality. You can trust me to lead the service with professionalism and compassion.

What happens next? 

When you contact me to arrange funeral we will have an initial conversation on the phone at the end of which we will agree a suitable time and place to meet. This meeting usually takes place at your home or at the offices of your funeral director. 

At this meeting ...

• I will confirm all the details of the location, date and time of the service
• we will discuss music, readings and tributes to be included in the service and whether any friends or family would like to speak at the service.
• We will talk a lot about your loved one, so that i can get a picture of who they were and create a personalised service, with them in mind. 
• These meetings take as long as is necessary and are never rushed. To give you an idea they are usually between one and two hours. 

Following the metting...

• If you have chosen to have an order of service printed by your funeral director, I will liaise with them about the content. This will include details of any music or readings that need to be included
• I will create a personalised service with all the elements we have agreed upon, including a personalised life story.
• The life story of your loved one will be sent to you, this is for you to proof read and request amendments as necessary.
• I will liaise with the funeral director and / or venue regarding any music and photo tributes to be presented during the service.
• You may make as many amendments as you wish to the script.
• You have unlimited contact with me during the preparation of the service script.
